With the budget market to need the smartphone, Samsung and other such tech giants are filtering their devices with budget cost. Samsung has just unveiled its budget smartphone in its Galaxy series. Samsung Galaxy Active Neo is launched to heel the wounds of the mediocre market with high flashy specs. It took its first place in japan with the expected arrival through local carrier NTT DoCoMo in early November priced at JPY 20,000 (roughly Rs. 10,800).
The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with 4.5-inch WVGA (480*800 pixels) resolution display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. the protective glass is the newest and provides solid covering to the display from the outer cracks and harms. It takes its power from 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at a rate of 1.2GHz. It is further clubbed with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone takes honor of hinging the on-board storage with 16GB that is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. The device measures 133*70*10.1mm and weighs 154 grams. It packs 2200mAh battery with a 'Battery-conserving Mode' that can be activated using a dedicated button on the left side bezel of the smartphone. At the snapper's edge, it sports 8MP rear and 2MP front camera. It features regular set of wireless connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC.
After the launch of Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace in India at Rs. 6,300, the company has high plans to launch this device in Indian market, but no words have been uttered yet on the availability in the other markets. Talking further about the specs, since the device falls under 'Active' line up devices, so it is IP68 certified. Simply this means that, the device is dust and water resistant. Not only this, MIL-STD-810G certified smartphone is helpful to make it humidity, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant. It would be able to take 2 tons of weight and withstand a drop from 1.5metres as well, with its availability in Camo White and Solid Black color variants.
