Samsung, the South Korean company has brought an another high-end smartphone with 4GB RAM dubbed as the Galaxy C5. The company touted smartphone to be the first handset under its C-series. Initially, the smartphone has been launched in China in 32GB and 64GB variants which are priced at CNY 2,199 and CNY 2,399 respectively. The metal-clad smartphone is up for pre-orders in China and will go on the sale from the first week of the June.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone is operated on Android 6.0.1 based Marshmallow operating system out of the box. The newly built Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC, with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.2GHz, coupled with 4GB RAM.

On the photography end, the smartphone is incorporated with 16-megapixel rear autofocus camera with a flash module and f/1.9 aperture along with an 8-megapixel front facing camera supporting the same aperture and a flash module. For the storage, the handset comes in 32GB and 64GB internal storage options that are expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. The Galaxy C5 sports 4G LTE networks on one SIM, and the China variant is also listed to support 4G LTE variants in India.
For the connectivity, the first Samsung Galaxy C-series smartphone, the Galaxy C5 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and Micro-USB. Dimensionally it is measuring a 145.9*72*6.7mm and weighs 143 grams.

The GSM based Samsung Galaxy C5 bears a fingerprint sensor on the home button. The handset includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a magnetometer. It is powered by a 2600mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 237 hours of standby time on 4G.
