Sony smartphones are known for their image sensors. True to this, the Xperia XA2 Plus carries an AI equipped 23-megapixel main camera. However, the 8-megapixel sensor with narrower f/2.4 aperture could be a let down for selfie lovers and vloggers.

The main camera however seems neck to neck with those offered by immediate rivals like Samsung and Huawei. It can easily recognize up to 52 smart scenes.
