Sony, the Japanese smartphone manufacturer has launched the new smartphone dubbed as Xperia XA2 Plus at an event in London on 11th July 2018. The key highlights of Sony Xperia XA2 Plus include the 23MP rear camera, support 4K video recording, 18:9 aspect ratio and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Xperia XA2 Plus from Sony has launched the smartphone in Black, Green, Gold, and Silver color options. However, the Japanese tech giant has not revealed the price of the smartphone. It is anticipated that the Xperia XA2 Plus will be available for purchase in late August 2018.
Hideyuki Furumi, Executive Deputy President of Sony Mobile Communications said in a press statement, “Our super mid-range line inherits everything we love about the Sony innovations at the premium end of our portfolio," By adding that, “Xperia XA2 Plus further improves on that with a reimagined 18:9 display, Sony\'s Hi-Res Audio and powerful camera technology, to offer a unique content consumption and creation device for consumers at this section of the market”.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a 6-inch full-HD+ display along with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Xperia XA2 Plus comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which protects the screen of smartphone from damages and scratches. Under the hood, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC.
It is available in two storage variants: 4GB RAM + 32GB onboard storage and 6GB RAM+64GB, though internal storage is expandable up to 400GB by using a microSD card.
In terms of photography, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus gets a 23MP rear camera featuring 84-degree wide-angle lens, support 4K video recording, and Hybrid Autofocus. At up front, the smartphone gets 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and 20-degree wide-angle lens.
It is powered by a 3,580mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology which would charge the smartphone faster.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C as connectivity options. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone. It measures and weighs 157x75x9.6mm and 205 grams respectively.
