A slew of devices have been launched for Indian market to bring smile on mid-level users’ face. The domestic mobile manufacturer Spice has announced an array of devices in the same fray, named Mi-347, Mi-401, Mi-402, Mi-501, Mi-514, Mi-551, Mi-6115 PDA. Here we are talking about the Spice Mi-347 and Mi-401. Both devices will be selling via HomeShop18. All these devices run on the Android platform and are specially manufactured for mid-tier cities of India.
Let’s begin with the Spice Mi-347 which is priced at Rs. 2,499 and has almost all required features and specs. This dual SIM handset runs on the dated Android Jelly Bean OS, but it’s not a big issue over here looking at the price point. It flaunts a 3.5-inch HVGA display that provides 320x480 pixels resolution. Overall, the okay device with single-core 1GHz processor and 256MB of RAM is made just to increase the use of smartphones in the rural areas of India also.
On the imaging side, this handset bears a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash. No option for front shooter may disappoint you. Spice Mi-347 comes equipped with 1300mAh battery and 512MB built-in storage which is expandable upto 32GB using microSD card.

The Spice Mi-401 on the other side is priced at Rs. 2,599 and supports dual SIM. This handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS which seems inadequate but okay as per the price tag given to this handset. It features a 4-inch HVGA display that offers 320x480 pixels screen resolution. It is also powered by a dated single-core 1GHz (unknown chipset) processor which is quite disappointing in the era of quad-core and octa-cores. Well, 256MB of RAM is also there for multitasking purpose.
On the imaging front, you can experience a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.3-megapixel front imager. Spice Mi-401 is crafted with 1300mAh battery and 4GB built-in storage which can be expanded via microSD card.
