The Russia based telecommunication company, Yota is planning to launch its new smartphone: YotaPhone in India. If the listing of Flipkart is to be believed, then the firm has geared up to unpack this handset along with intuitive features for the native marketplace. However, the device has been a talk of the town since its inception due to comprisal of some latest technologies, which make it better than its predecessor.
Notably, the handheld has been already publicized at Mobile World Congress last year in Barcelona, where is was billing itself as the best proposition for tech savvy youths. Here, the most innovative and eye catching part of the upcoming mobile is its dual-screen. It offers a front HD display of 4.3-inch and also bears a same screen-size on its rear side with electronic paper display technology. Both the screens deliver pixel resolutions of 1280x720p and 640x360p respectively.
The E-Ink secondary display will be always on to show notifications, weather, calendar reminders as well as for reading e-books even with a very low battery. In particular, the screens are fabricated with Corning Gorilla Glass shield, which is a damage-resistant material. As per the reports, the mobile phone is packed with 1.7GHz Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor and fueled by a 1800mAh battery.
It incorporates a 2GB of RAM and also confers internal storage of 32GB. In terms of software, the prospective buyers of this forthcoming handset might feel little gloomy due to inclusion of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The gadget is paired with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash alongside a 1-megapixel selfie snapper.
As said earlier, the smartphone assimilates LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE options on the connectivity front. Apparently, the listing on this Indian E-commerce site was first spotted by MakTechBlog, but the exact launch day or pricing details are yet-to-be announced.
At this place, if Yotaphone will be released with a competitive price tag, it will assuredly grab the attention of Indian consumers just like Xiaomi Mi3 and Redmi 1S series smartphones.
