Finally, the mysterious Leadcore SoC-powered smartphone of Xiaomi has seen light of the day and it has been baptized as Redmi 2A. Apparently, the CEO of this Chinese tech giant: Lei Jun has pulled the veils from its next-iteration during an event, which was held to celebrate fifth anniversary of corporation. As the matter of fact, this rapidly-growing firm has made yet another foray against leading providers of mobile phones by launching its novel devisee decked with impressive specs at just RMB 599 ($96).
Diving into this long-rumored handset, mobile do reminiscent of its predecessor by incorporating almost identical specifications. It features a 4.7-inch IPS display, which confers a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720p and pixel density of 312ppi. At an affordable value, device has managed to assimilate 4G connectivity in its shell and also bestows 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS options on connectivity front.
The Redmi 2A houses an 8-megapixel shooter fitted with Omnivision image sensor, LED flash, face recognition, HDR, panorama, burst mode, exposure control functionality and its front panel is coupled with a 2-megapixel sensor. Memory-wise, new scion of Redmi family is arrayed with 1GB RAM alongside 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be extended upto 32GB by using a microSD card.

However, company has labeled its novel creation with a price tag of RMB 599 (approximately Rs. 6,000), but China based prospective buyers can purchase Redmi 2A at RMB 499 (Roughly Rs. 5,000) on April 8. Moreover, folks can choose among Dark Gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pale color options.
