By the collaboration of Porsche Design brand, BlackBerry has made a come back in the market of luxury smartphones by launching a successor of Porsche Design P'9983, Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite. Apart from maintaining the custom of Porsche Design series with its aesthetics and sumptuous design, handset also incorporates various commendable and robust internal hardware in its shell.
Notably, this Canada based handset maker has boasted about its novel creation that "smartphone features graphite-metallic colored elements and the finest, hand-wrapped leather on the back door cover". Here, Chief Design Officer of Porsche Design Group: Roland Heiler has stated that "The iconic styling of the new P’9983 Graphite from BlackBerry is technically inspired with longevity, integrity and individuality at its core."
Loaded with BlackBerry OS 10, handset is engineered with a Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 (MSM8960) that is clocked at 1.5GHz. It bears a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen with a pixel resolution of 720 x 720p. Coming to connectivity front, mobile phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI options, which all do reminiscent of its predecessor.
Interestingly, this novel scion of firm is housed with some new apps such as BlackBerry Hub, Blend, Personal Assistant (for managing work and personal email, contacts, calendar and other BlackBerry 10 features through both voice and text commands). Additionally, it is decked with elegantly-designed BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard.
Memory-wise, handheld is clubbed with 2GB RAM alongside 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable upto 128GB via microSD card. Moreover, Porsche Design P'9983 Graphite is integrated with a 2100mAh battery. As yet, prospective buyers can grab this premium-looking gadget via the official website of Porsche Design by paying $1,950 that is approximately Rs. 1,22,250 according to Indian currency.
