World's number third smartphone manufacturer: Xiaomi has launched its Redmi Note phablet in India. Notably, this plus-sized device has been inaugurated in two variants: 4G-LTE & 3G models, which are named as Redmi Note 4G and Redmi Note respectively. To remind you, the tech giant had sent out an official invitation last week, which was clearly hinting about the arrival of these brand-new smartphones.
Hashing about 3G-only Redmi Note that features a mammoth 5.5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The inclusion of 13-megapixel rear autofocus cameras with LED flash alongside 5-megapixel selfie snapper are enough to allure the shutterbugs.
The handset is arrayed with 2GB RAM along with 8GB of built-in storage, which can be enlarged upto 32GB via a microSD card. The incorporation of 3,100mAh battery and GPRS/EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS connectivity options could make the handheld eye candy among tech-savvy people.
It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 SoC as well as integrated with a Mali-450MP4 GPU. Rest of the specs include, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system with MIUI v5 skin and dual-SIM support with dual standby.
On the other hand, single-SIM supported Redmi Note 4G shares almost identical specs with its companion. But, comprisal of quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS along with 64GB of expandable storage make it dissimilar from its sibling.
Apparently, 4G-enabled mobile phone has been priced at Rs. 9,999 and it will be available from the second half of December. Whereas, Redmi Note has been labeled with a monetary value of Rs. 8,999 and expected to go on sale by December 2.
