China based network equipment and device maker, ZTE has launched a new device, V5 smartphone in Indian mobile phone space with a price tag of Rs.10,999. However, the phone is exclusively procurable on an online portal, Snapdeal. Notably, the E-commerce website is also offering 1GB 2G/ 3G data for the first 3 months to prepaid Aircel customers with every purchase. But, it has not received any statement, whether it will be also available at physical retail stores.
Ostensibly, the newly launched device is disseminating the smartphone portfolio of brand in the native marketplace, which is packed with Android 4.4.2 KitKat along with ZTE's Nubia 2.0 UI. Here, the most attractive part of the handset is its 13MP rear camera with LED flash that comprises some additional features such as a blue glass composite IR filter, Sony Exmor RS CMOS sensor and F2.2 aperture.
The smartphone is also clubbed with a 5MP selfie snapper that provides 88-degree wide angle and housed with BSI sensor. It incorporates a 5-inch HD IPS display, which has OGS and Dragontrail glass protection. It is coupled with 1GB of RAM along with 4GB of built-in storage that is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
According to the listing of online retailer, the heir of the firm is integrated with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor alongside a 2400mAh battery that delivers a talk time of 6 hours. On the connectivity front, it is housed with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Glonass and A-GPS options at an affordable cost.
Apparently, the smartphone is expected to be a strong contender of Lava Iris X5 and Karbonn Titanium S19 because of the little similar pricing. However, some reports are envisaging that the phone might be arrived as a tough rival against Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus ZenFone 5 and Motorola Moto G due inclusion of some identical traits at an economical value.
