From the market of China, it has flowed to other countries, with Umi being the Chinese manufacturer has come up with Fair in its series of smartphones. Umi Fair is the smartphone that is priced at $99 that is, Rs. 6,500. The budget phone has not yet rolled under the words of hitting the other markets, but is already made available on various third-party online retailers.
The 5-inch smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with HD IPS display having 720*1280 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 295ppi. It has a back up support of 64-bit 1.0GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) processor that is added on with Mali-T720 GPU clocked at 450MHz. It is paired with 1GB RAM and housed with 2000mAh battery. The battery backup of the device is rated to deliver up to 170 hours of standby time, 10.5 hours on-screen time and 6.8 hours of 4G web browsing. It comes with 8GB internal storage that is expandable to 64GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM supportive phone has a multi-functioning second SIM slot that can act as a microSD card slot at times.
The device is placed with 13MP camera at the rear edge powered by a Sony IMX164 sensor. Not only this, the rear panel features a blue glass filter with f/2.2 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. For the selfie lovers, as seen on the company's site, a secondary 2MP front-facing camera is boarded with an f/2.2 aperture. The handset measures 143.5*72*8.4mm thickness and weighs 120 grams. Being listed in Black and White color variants, the device also packs an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone has a military-grade fingerprint sensor placed just below the rear camera. The sensor is claimed to be accurate upto 99 percent recognition rate to recognize the fingerprint in 0.32 seconds. It has been claimed to hinge on self-learning algorithms.
On the connectivity edge, the device has a 4G enabled connection view. Further offering, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.0 options, the device has a stainless steel inner frame.
