Vivo has launched the Y31A, an upgraded version of the Y31 that was released in September last year. According to Vivo official website, the Y31A is an entry-level dual SIM smartphone with a price tag of 999 Yuan (around $155 /Rs 10,250) and currently available in China on China Telecom. It sports a 4.7-inch IPS display with 540x960 pixels, measures 137.24x68.76x8.39 mm in dimension, and weighs 141g.
Under the hood, the budget smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 16GB internal storage with expandable memory up to 128GB and a 1GB RAM. It also mounts an 8MP main camera, a 2MP front snapper and a 2,100mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y31A supports Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE, 3G and FM radio.
It may be mentioned that Vivo launched the cheap smartphone a few weeks after it announced two high-end devices, the Xplay 5 and Xplay 5 Elite. The devices caught the attention of the public and gadget lovers alike as they became the world's first smartphones to have a 6GB RAM.
