The recent report indicates that Vivo, the Chinese tech giant has started working on the successor of Vivo V11 Pro which expected to be launched in the first half of 2019. In an interview with press media, Nipun Marya, Vivo India’s Director-Brand Strategy made the announcement regarding the launch of Vivo V12 Pro.
“We usually launch V series flagship products twice a year, one in the first half and one in the second half. In 2018, V9 was launched in the first half of the year, while the V11 Pro was brought to India in the second half. This time also, we will be launching something in the first half of 2019 and it will be the successor of the V11 Pro", said Nipun Marya.
The confirmed name of the Vivo V11 Pro is not available at the moment but we are assuming that Vivo will mostly launch the device with the sequential number and may be called as Vivo V12 Pro.

To recall, the Vivo V11 Pro was launched in India in September 2018 with under- display fingerprint scanner at a price tag of Rs 25,990. Recently, Vivo has added Supernova Red Color Variant in its existing line up. Excepting color changes, the price, specifications, camera sensors of Vivo V11 Pro Supernova Red Color Variant are similar to the basic variant of Vivo V11 Pro.
The Vivo V11 Pro features a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display that offers 2340×1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. At the hardware front, the device gets Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. In terms of lens, the Vivo V11 Pro packs dual 12MP+5MP sensors on the rear panel and 25MP for front- facing camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with the support of fast wireless charging. For the security purpose, the smartphone gets unde- display fingerprint scanner. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS layered with Funtouch OS 4.5.
As of now, Vivo has not revealed the specific timeline of V12 Pro but it is expected that the company could launch the device in the first half of 2019.
