Vivo, the renowned Chinese smartphone maker has launched its new Y-series smartphone dubbed as the Y79, in China. The smartphone bears identical design to company's recently unveiled Vivo V7+ and sports a 5.99-inch display. The Vivo has incorporated Vivo Y79 with face wake feature along with other highlighting feature of 24-megapixel selfie camera. The company has claimed that the Vivo Y79 offers 84.4 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Vivo Y79 has been made available to buy in China at CNY 2,498 (Approx. Rs. 24,500) and can be purchased from the company's official website. Vivo has confirmed that this latest mobile will start shipping from Singles' Day - which is on 11/11 and will be available in Champagne, Matte Black, and Rose Gold colors.

Similar to the Vivo V7+, the Vivo Y79 comes with a 5.99-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS Incell 'FullView' display with an 18:9 aspect ratio along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2.5D curved glass. The handset has been powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) octa-core SoC clocked at up to 2GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM.
On the camera front, the Vivo Y79 has a 24-megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.78-inch sensor, and a 'Moonlight Glow' soft selfie light along with a 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. this latest Vivo mobile comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The connectivity options included in Vivo Y79 are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The top smartphone sensors in the device include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. This Vivo smartphone has been backed by a 3225mAh battery.
