As expected, the Vivo Y81i has been silently launched in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 8,490. The Vivo Y81i is a step-down version of the Vivo Y81, and the former was initially launched in the Malaysia market. It must be noted that the Vivo Y81i is not entirely a new device though it is already available for purchase in Malaysia.
The Vivo Y81i is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio A22 SoC which is similar to Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A and Redmi 6. The Vivo Y81i has been launched in one 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage variant.
To recall, the Vivo Y81 was launched in India in August 2018 at a price tag of Rs 12,999. But after some period of time the price of the device reduced by Rs 1000 and now it is available for purchase at Rs 11,990 in India.
As expected the Vivo Y81i features a 6.22-inch Full View display which offers the screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 88 percent screen-to-body ratio and has a notch on the top of the display. It could be powered by a MediaTek MT6761 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
To unlock the Vivo Y81i comes with face unlock instead of a physical fingerprint scanner.

For photography, the device has a single 13MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with the support of AI face beauty mode which allows users to capture stunning selfies and improves the lighting conditions and the skin tone.
From the software front, the Vivo Y81i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered with FunTouch 4.0 OS. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,260mAh battery. The Vivo Y81i is 7.7mm thick than the Vivo Y81 and its weight is 143 grams.
