Xiaomi has propelled another Redmi 3 variant, the Redmi 3S, in China. The new smartphone will be available in two variants based on memory and inbuilt stockpiling - with the 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage model estimated at CNY 699 (around Rs. 7,000), and the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of the capacity model estimated at CNY 899 (around Rs. 9,000). The new Xiaomi Redmi 3S will go on sale starting Thursday and will be available through the company's online store, Mi.com. The Chinese company has not uncovered any insights about worldwide availability of the handset.
The Redmi 3S packs an all-new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.1GHz clubbed with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone bears a 16GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expandable by means of microSD card (up to 128GB). The double SIM handset (Micro + Nano) accompanies with hybrid SIM slot which means the second slot acts as a microSD slot.
One of the greatest upgrades over the first Xiaomi Redmi 3 is the Redmi 3S includes a unique finger impression scanner at the back panel on the board. The Redmi 3S includes a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display and runs MIUI 7 taking into account Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S will be available in Gray, Silver, and Gold color variants.
