The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has announced an open sale for its flagship device Mi5 and Redmi Note 3 in India. The two devices can be purchased from the company website Mi.com without any registration, starting from June 1, 10 am onwards.
In terms of specifications, Mi 5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 1.8GHz chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage capacity. The device features a 5.15-inch HD display. As for the camera, the device sports a rear 16MP camera along with an optical image stabilizer (OIS) and LED flash and the front camera incorporates a 4MP sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 also supports NFC, a fingerprint sensor and Quick Charge 3.0, which can charge the battery up to 90 per cent in just one hour. Weighing 129g and with a thickness of 7.25mm, Mi 5 is considerably light, even with a large 3000mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi 5 runs on MIUI V7, a custom Android Marshmallow-based operating system. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is available for a price of Rs 24,999.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a high-end specification which includes the latest Snapdragon 650 chipset with 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, a full HD display and a 13MP primary camera. The front camera sports a 5MP sensor. The USP of the device lies in the fingerprint sensor and a large 4050mAh battery, which is usually found on high-end devices. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a full metallic body with a premium look and an affordable price of Rs 9,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 11,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant.
