Earlier the CEO, Lei Jun had confirmed that Mi 6 will be launched on 19th of April, 2017. Currently, Xiaomi has disclosed the launching date of Mi 6 in its official Weibo account.
After so many speculations, it has now confirmed that Dual-SIM Mi 6 handset will be officially released on 19th April at the University Of Technology Gymnasium, in Beijing has now been cleared out, as the company has unveiled the official launching date. The predecessor of Mi 6 dubbed as Mi 5 was launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Pricing details of Mi 6 also disclosed on the Chinese social media site. The Mi 6 Android Smartphone will be available in two variants 4GB of RAM+ 64 GB storage and 4 GB + 128 GB priced at Rs 20,500 and 24,300 respectively. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will be available in three variants that are 6GB of RAM + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB priced at Rs. 25,000, 28,990 Rs. 34,600 respectively.
From the specifications front, GSM handset runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The screen size of the smartphone is 5.1-inch (1080x1920 pixel) along with full HD display. It has been tipped that it is available in 64GB or 128GB along with inbuilt storage capacity. It is also said to be blessed with a 12- megapixel rear camera along with 4K video recording support and an 8- megapixel front snapper that is capable of 4K recording as well.
Both Xiomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 technology along with fast changing support. It is expected that Mi 6 plus is featured with 4000 mAh battery. It is tipped that the smartphone to sport a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup whereas the Mi 6 will declare sport a flat display.
