Xiaomi Mi 9 Roy Wang Custom Edition set to launch in China on 1st April

Xiaomi has rolled up its sleeves to launch a new custom edition version of the Mi 9 (first impressions) in association with the Roy Wang, the brand ambassador of the company in China. Roy Wang is an iconic celebrity and is highly popular in the country. He was also present when Mi 9 was disclosed in earlier 2019.

There is no word from the company about the forthcoming Mi 9 Roy Wang Custom Edition smartphone. But it is speculated that the smartphone will come with cosmetic makeovers and might come with Roy Wang theme.

Xiaomi, just after the launch of Mi 9, disclosed a limited edition Roy Wang back cover of the smartphone. The company has not given any confirmation whether the smartphone will be limited edition or not but as per speculation is a limited edition. The Mi 9 Roy Wang Custom Edition will only be limited to China.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 was the first device to launch with the hardware Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. But it does not support 5G as it does not have X50 5G modem and supports till 45 LTE connectivity. The smartphone is also equipped with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is the first smartphone from the company to come with triple camera at the back. The triple rear camera gives three individual and different purposes and can also work together for better quality of image.

Among the triple rear camera, first camera houses a holographic LED ring around it and is a telephoto camera which has a 12MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor and an f/2.2 telephoto lens which gives 2x optical zoom.

The second camera is the primary sensor which houses IMX586 sensor of Sony and comes with 48MP that uses pixel binning to enhance overall photograph quality and can also shoot great high-resolution RAW photos. This 48MP comes with an f/1.75 aperture lens. The last but not least, third camera is a 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor which comes with a wide angle lens.

At the front, the Xiaomi Mi 9 comes with a dewdrop notch on the display which flaunts a 20MP selfie camera. All the features of the Xiaomi Mi 9 must be same in the case of the Mi 9 Roy Wang Custom Edition, which is set to launch on 1 April in China.
