Famous Chinese smartphone maker ahead of the Diwali sale by e-commerce giants of the country has brought forward its self-hosted three-day Diwali sale starting from October 17. The sale would surely offer flash deals, discounts, and new product launches, however, the most important announcement being considered is the launching of Mi Max Prime smartphone in India. As per the reports, the smartphone will likely be made available for purchase as a part of Diwali offers sale on October 17 for a price of Rs 19,999 and interested users can purchase it via official Mi.com website.
One must note that the new Mi Max Prime smartphone is just another variant of Mi Max. Xiaomi unveiled Mi Max smartphone in June this year, and during the launching, it did clarify that another product will soon be made available in India. It looks like company has kept its promise by releasing Mi Max Prime featuring Snapdragon 652 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage capacity.
Talking about major specs of the new handset, we can see that it is a Dual-SIM smartphone with a hybrid configuration that restricts user to either use a SIM card or a microSD card in slot #2. On the software front, the device operates on Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with a layering of company's default UI on the top i.e, MIUI 8. The device sports a magnificent 6.44-inch full-HD display that gives a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and a pixel density of 342ppi. Users are also allowed to expand their storage capacity up to 128GB.

Apart from processor, RAM, and storage capacity, there is no other factor that differentiates the two Android smartphones as such. To recall, Mi Max comes with Snapdragon 650 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage whereas, Mi Max Prime as indicated above comes equipped with higher specs i.e, Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
On the camera front, the GSM-handset offers a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and LED flash support.The rear camera gives f/2.0 aperture and is further supported by a 5-megapixel camera on board with 85-degree wide-angle view.
The new Xiaomi Mi Max Prime is powered by a 4850mAh battery, which as per claimed by the company offers up to 14 hours of video playback. The device also supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Mimo on the connectivity front while dimensionally, it measures at 173.1x88.3x7.5mm. The smartphone carries a weight of just 203 grams and comes with an infrared emitter to act as a universal remote control, apart from an ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and proximity sensor.
