Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime Launched in India at INR 8,499

One of the most promising mobile brands, Xiaomi has announced the launch of its new flagship, Redmi Note Prime smartphone in India. The sale will be commenced from tomorrow at 10am, which will be available exclusively on Amazon India and Mi.com, priced at INR 8,499. In August 2015, the company had already aired that its manufacturing had been performed in the country. The production of the Redmi Note Prime has been done in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group.

Now, let's talk about its features and specifications. This new device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat-based MIUI 7, having a dual-SIM support. It's equipped with a 5.5 inch IPS display with a HD (720*1280 pixels) resolution. The handset is packed with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor combined with 2 GB LPDDR3 of RAM.

Moving on its storage capacity, it carries 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be easily expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). It supports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Redmi Note Prime is powered by a 3100mAh battery.

Now, throwing light on the connectivity options, it includes GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, USB-OTG and GPS/ A-GPS. Dimensionally, it measures 154*78.7*9.4 mm and weighs 185 gm.
