Xiaomi has listed the Redmi S2 to China\'s 3C (Compulsory Certification of China) certification website. Although specifications are not revealed, it makes sure the launch in the home country soon. This is the second launch in the ultra-successful budget Redmi series. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is spied along with a possible Snapdragon 660 SoC.

In the previous listing of TENAA, it is revealed that the Redmi S2 is likely to get MIUI on top of Android 8.1.0 Oreo. Further, it is listed to have a 5.99-inch HD+ TFT display with 720x1440 pixels of resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9. Coming to the interior, the Redmi S2 is expected to run on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, an Adreno 506 GPU, 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB inbuilt storage and 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB of RAM.
It is reported that the smartphone will take a dual camera setup comprising a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K5E8 secondary sensor and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 primary sensor along with an LED flash and a PDAF lens. Upfront, it takes a 16-megapixel selfie camera, as speculated.
Although no official information is out by the company, it is expected to launch in upcoming weeks. The reports also suggest that it will launch in India and China.
