Xiaomi Slashes Down the Price of Redmi Note Prime to INR 7999

Just last week China celebrated its New Year on February 8, and now Indian outlet of Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi i.e., Xiaomi India has another good news for the Indian buyers. As per the reports, Xiaomi India has decided to slash down the price of its flagship product Redmi Note Prime by INR 500 with new price rates being INR 7,999.

The smartphone originally came in Indian market last year in December 2015 at a price of INR 8,499 and as always the handset will be available exclusively via both the e-commerce website Amazon India and the official company Xiaomi's website Mi.com. This handset is the second Made in India smartphone after the Redmi 2 Prime.

Apart from the slashing of prices, the Chine company is also celebrating Mi Week on Amazon India from Tuesday to Friday and as a part of that, the company is giving exclusive discount offers on both the Xiaomi Mi 4 and Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphones. As per the discount that is valid for 4 days, Xiaomi Mi 4 is available for purchase at a price of INR 12,999 whilst the other smartphone Xiaomi Mi 4i is available for INR 9,999.

Talking about the specs of Redmi Note Prime, we observe that it is a dual-SIM variant that runs on Android Kitkat based MiUi-7 OS. It features a 5.5-inch display with 2GB of RAM. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and offers 16GB of inbuilt storage space expandable up to 32GB with a micro-SD card.

The handset sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and is backed by a 3100mAh battery. Dimensionally, it measures 154x78.7x9.4mm with a weight of just 185 grams and comes equipped with standard connectivity options like GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, USB-OTG and GPS/ A-GPS.
