Xiaomi to Introduce Snapdragon 625 SoC in Mi 5c and Snapdragon 835 SoC in Mi 6

Xiaomi, the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm is reported to unveil its upcoming affordable variant of Mi 5 smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Mi 5c. The company is expected to launch the handset sometime in the running month, ahead of MWC 2017. Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship handset is also expected to be powered by the snapdragon 835 SoC.

According to GizChina, the specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5c will include a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It will be powered by a 14nm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory space. In terms of optics, it packs 12-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front shooter for shooting selfies.

The Android smartphone will be backed up by a 3200mAh battery along with a 5V/2A power adapter, which means that it will not come with a fast charging support. Apart from it, some images of the Dual-SIM handset are also leaked, which shows the narrow bezel design of the handset. Mi 5c was supposed to be introduced in the month of December 2016, but somehow that couldn't happen, so, consumers are expecting to see the mobile in the running month.

Xiaomi is also planning to unveil its Mi 6 flagship smartphone sometime in March or April. The biggest highlight of the upcoming flagship model is expected to be the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, but according to a fresh leak the GSM smartphone will be powered by a lower clocked version of Snapdragon 835 processor.
