Sony, the Japanese smartphone manufacturer company has launched the new flagship smartphone dubbed as, Xperia XZ2 Premium, it is an upgraded version of Xperia XZ2. The Sony flagship smartphone was unveiled by the company in less than two months after the unveiling of Xperia XZ2 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) during this year. XZ2 Premium looks similar to Xperia XZ2 in terms of design, but come with several improvements such as the display, camera, battery, and much more.
The flagship smartphone will be available for purchase from summers during this year and the pricing information of the smartphone has not been revealed by the company. The company is offering the smartphone in two color options Chrome Black and Chrome Silver as well as single-sim and dual-sim variants.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium gets a 5.8-inch HDR Triluminos display with the screen resolution of 2160x3840 pixels in the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio display. The smartphone has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top which helps to protect the smartphone. It is powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 400GB by using the memory card. The smartphone runs on advanced Android 8.0 Operating System which has been trending these days in the smartphone industry.

The biggest improvements we can see in the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is its camera sensors. The smartphone is equipped with a Motion dual camera setup on the rear panel. It includes a 19-megapixel primary camera offering an a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, 1.22-micron pixels, and a f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel black and white camera featuring the same Exmor RS sensor, 1.55-micron pixels, and a f/1.6 aperture. The rear camera is said to feature a Bionz mobile image-processing engine and Aube fusion image signal processor include monochrome effect, HDR effect, 960fps super slow motion video recording, Bokeh mode, predictive hybrid autofocus, and 5-axis image stabilization.
For the selfie snapper, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium sport a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, offers a 22mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, and a 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor. The front camera comes with 5-axis image stabilization, ISO 3200 sensitivity for the photo, and ISO 1600 sensitivity for videos.
In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE (LTE Cat.18), Wi-Fi 802.11ac with DLNA and Miracast, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C (v3.1), a 3.5mm headphone jack, whereas sensors on the board are accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor (on the rear panel), gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a stereo, speakers. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 3540mAh battery along with wireless charging technology and Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of dimensions, it measures 158x80x11.9mm and the weight of the smartphones is 236 grams.
