The giant worldwide telecommunications equipment provider, ZTE, has officially unveiled its latest best budget smartphone, Blade A1 this week in China. The most affordable handset comes with a Fingerprint Sensor and will be released on December 11. The Blade A1 will be priced at 599 CNY in China (Approx. Rs 6,300) and hence reckoned as the world's cheapest smartphone with a fingerprint scanner. No details about the costing and availability of the device outside China has been announced so far.
As specified by ZTE, the fingerprint sensor can unlock the device in 0.3 seconds. The hybrid dual-Sim (Nano-Sim card) Blade A1 features 5-inch (1280x720 pixels) HD IPS Display, runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 customized by MiFavor 3.2 UI running on the top. The handset comes with 2GB of RAM and bears 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.
Powering the phone is a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. A1 measures 142x70.2x8.9 mm as per the dimensions, and weighs around 137 grams. In terms of camera, it has 13 MP rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while the 8 MP front facing camera. A 2800 mAh battery completes the package. Some other bits include 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Color options for the device are Smart White, Vibrant Yellow, Dream Green, Cool Blue, and Space Gray.
Gazing over the earlier launches, ZTE last month released three Android Lollipop 5.1 based smartphones, in the Blade Series, namely, Blade X3, X5 and X9. It also unveiled "Perfect For Selfies" smartphone Blade S7, which features a 13 MP front facing and rear cameras, both are underpinned by LED flash.
