Apple stores hit India Ground; Ties up with Tata's Croma Retail

After being passed through the rumors, Apple finally arrives in India with the collaboration of Tata’s Croma retail. Apple with Tata will host the Apple stores in six different locations across the country. The stores will be hosted in Juhu, Oberoi Mall, Malad, Ghatkopar and Phoenix Mall in Mumbai and Jayanagar in Banglore. These Apple stores will be opened in this upcoming festive season of Diwali.


As per the reports, these Apple stores will be made to appear in the global design in India and will offer the best experiences to the customers and showcases the entire range of Apple products in the stores. However, these stores are not an exclusive stores of Apple but they are the franchise stores.


The Apple will be provided space of 400-500 square feet area in the store for design, furniture, fixtures and lighting will the same as that used in Apple stores across the world. Even the sales staff also trained by the Apple.


Avijit Mitra, Chief Executive Officer of Infiniti Retail, which owns Croma said that, “"We are proud to partner Apple to launch the Apple Store in India and extremely bullish about it. These stores will be modeled on the global design and will offer the best experience to consumers, showcasing the entire range of Apple products. "


Apple sold 1.7 million iPhones in India in the current financial year, between October 2014 and September 2015 by breaking its own record of 1.1 million units of sale earlier.
