Apple to furnish Wireless Technology after joining NFC Forum

Apple, a Cupertino-based company has already launched the connectivity with Near Field Communication (NFC) in its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models. The company has now decided to put on its feet in the NFC Forum as a sponsor member. The non-profitable NFC Forum is the industry association to create interoperability between the devices in the near field by providing the connectivity and developing NFC specifications.
Apple Pay relies on NFC
The Director of NFC Forum, Paula Hunter uttered, “The top tier of NFC Forum membership, sponsor membership, entitles an organization to a seat on the NFC Forum board of directors, the association's governing body” and “We are delighted to welcome Apple to our board of directors as an NFC Forum sponsor member”.

It is basically Aon Mujtaba, the Director of the Wireless Technology and System Engineering in the company, who is joining the Forum as the board of directors. The man monitors the team of the company in the wireless, architecture and design specifications along-with the patents created for Apple in the wireless technology field.

The company was avoiding the NFC technology for long, but after launching its iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with the add-on wireless support, getting a higher response than ever, has now decided to lead the board of director for the NFC Forum. The company not only joined the Forum but also accompanied tech giants like Samsung, Sony, Google, Visa, MasterCard, Intel, Nokia, Broadcom and Qualcomm.

Apple Pay Mobile Payment System

The tech giant aims to furnish the Wireless technology with the NFC support to withstand higher market needs of the near field devices connectivity. The radio communication is expected to be boosted up by this decision of Apple. The company has also announced Apple Pay, new mobile payment system relies on NFC.
