Based on Latest Android Wear, LG Watch Urbane Goes on Sale in US

One of the most commendable device showcased during MWC 2015, LG Watch Urbane has made its way to the marketplace of US. As per The Verge, South Korean tech giant has labeled its well-built smartwatch loaded with new Android Wear update with a price tag of $349 for United States and wrist-worn is up for purchase via Google online Store. However, Google store is not showing the listing of device currently that can be a technical glitch.

Notably, this timepiece is the first one to be equipped with latest version of Android Wear, which is a well-know operating system for wearables developed by Google. At this place, corporation has stated that "new Android Wear supports Wi-Fi connectivity and includes always-on apps to keep the display from going dark when running, navigating or even grocery shopping and an improved UX that makes launching favorite apps and getting in touch with friends easier than ever before with everything now front-and-center."

It is housed with LG Call and LG Pulse features, in which first app capacitates the users to access recent calls and favorite contacts list on paired phone to dial out directly just on wrist. Whereas, next one has the capability to measure wearer’s heart rate every second during any activity and stores all the data of heart rate over the entire duration as well as gives a heart rate graph on LG Health.

Featuring full metal body with a stitched genuine leather strap,  wearable device bears a 1.3-inch full-circle Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display with a pixel resolution of 320 x 320p and pixel density of 245ppi. This invention of brand is power packed with 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and fueled by a 410mAh battery. Complemented by IP67 certification, LG Watch Urbane has a dust and water resistant (upto 1 meter for up to 30 minutes) build.

Most importantly, device is fitted with some advanced sensors such as gyro, accelerometer, compass, barometer in order to work like an activity tracker or fitness-centric band. The comprisal of a PPG (Heart Rate monitor) sensor makes this tool quite eye-catching, whereby it can keep eyes on wearer’s heart rate and average pulse during exercise. Memory-wise, it is armed with 512MB RAM along with 4GB of inbuilt storage and connectivity options include: Bluetooth 4.1 LE. Moreover, successor of LG G Watch R is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above.

As the matter of fact, corporation has also designed an LTE-based model of watch: LG Watch Urbane LTE that runs on completely different software supposedly: firm's own WebOS. According to reports, this top-end variant of gadget has been priced at $608 and only available in South Korea as yet. Google is now selling two color variants of Watch Urbane: luxurious polished rose gold or silver editions with free shipping and new orders has been said to be shipped by May 8.
