Google Fit comes on-board with Android OS

Google has finally unveiled its earlier announced health-related app, named as Google Fit. The firm has publicized it back in the month of June, 2014 in the Google I/O developer conference. The newly introduced application dedicatedly runs on the Android operating system, starting from Ice-Cream Sandwich and above. The Google Fit will accordingly with the help of your smartphone sensor. It will keep a track of your health, whether you walked or not, have you completed a mile of round or not and many more.

The Google Fit has made its specific availability on Google.com/fit, which is not started working yet. Talking about the working of the Google fit, it will keep a track of user's multiple activities such as walking, running and cycling. With the help of sensors which are present in your Android smartphone, the app will be able to monitor the walking, running and cycling time of the device user. The Google also allows you to set some specific goals to achieve on a daily basis.

The main attraction of the Google Fit is that it only supports smartphones, but also compatible with various Android based wearable gadgets. It is able to collect data from other fitness devices such as, Strava, Withings, Runkeeper, Noom Coach, Runtastic and MapMyFitness. The user can manually manage the fitness data and can enter various related information about his/her workouts, height or weight and many more. Eventually, the Google Fit is competing with Apple's Health Application. The Google fit app has come-up with an easy-to-use interface.
