Google has decided to separate its hardware products from its software products like apps, games and other software. Now, you can purchase Nexus devices, Android Wear powered smartwatches, Chromecast sticks, Chromebooks, Nest thermostats and other accessories like cases, chargers and keyboards direct from Google Web Store - a new store for company’s physical products.
Most people prefer Google Play to buy apps and games. Very few among the crowd of online shopping addicts go to the same place for buying devices. So, this could be the initiative step by search engine giant to attract more people to its online store. Google Store looks quite adorable and designed very beautifully. The company has been removed all physical products from Play Store and shifted them to the new Store. Don’t worry if you ordered any device recently from Play Store. It will automatically transfer your order to the new website. You can also select frames and shades for your Google Glass. However, the Nexus 5 has permanently been discontinued by the company. This would be the best place for newly launched Chromebook Pixel which is $1,000-priced laptop with average specs. As a welcome offer, Google on the other side is shipping all its devices free, but for a limited time period.
