Huawei has just announced its flagship series smartphone, namely, Mate S. the handset has alluring features that include a familiar kinda feature, called Force Touch. The tech giant has come up with this technology, soon before the launch of the tech by Apple. The leading tech giant, Apple has pressure-based touchscreen technology in Apple watch. It is reported that the company will feature the same technology in its iPhones soon.
The smartphone, Mate S, is launched at the IFA 2015 event with a fingerprint scanner and a 5.5-inch AMOLED display that sports a full metal shell and curved back. Being the users interaction component and the attraction point, it includes "Knuckle Sense" technology which helps user to detect the knuckle movement on the screen in the mid of the running application. The tech was first covered by P8, which shows an ease of access to various application platform with just a knuckle knock or a knuckle pattern drawn.
Like Apple's pressure based technology, the Touch force also specifies and detects the pressure placed on the screen with the knuckles, allowing them to execute various functions. Functions like switching to the camera screen, zooming the image screen and the camera panel or opening other applications, can be performed with the knuckle touch. The screen is also allowed to be used as a scale.
According to a press release, "The Mate S will be first available in more than 30 countries, including China, France, Germany, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, though the Force Touch version will only be available in select markets". Being the select market, Western Europe has started the pre-order panel that will begin on September 15th. No words have been uttered on the pricing of Force touch version for the smartphone, but its variants got the price chit. 64GB will be available for $699, while the 32GB will be available at $649. more related news is expected to flow in next month.
