LINE Lite Rolled Out for 2G Internet Users in India

It seems like the app market also get affected from the Indian users. As the market of smartphone is the biggest one around the globe, hence the app market is also. For that reason, the Japanese messaging company Line has brought a Lite version of its app. Yes, Line has been went 2G also by introducing Line Lite app for countries where 2G networks are still in use by several Android devices' users.

Earlier, Facebook Lite came to Android for Indians including some other countries for 2G internet users and now, Line Lite has been rolled out for the same. As Facebook had limit some of its features in Lite version, Line has also done the same. Line has gone 2G friendly, but let few features to stop working. You can not make video and audio calls, timeline has also been removed from this app. Only features you have in this Line Lite app are sending text messages, images, and stickers.

This app is too small in size with 1MB and is available for 11 countries which include Algeria, Cambodia, Colombia, Egypt, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Vietnam.

This app has around 205 million active users and the majority of its users belong from Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. Well, it is available for Android devices' users, company has no plan to bring it on iOS. Company is also thinking to merge new features in its instant messaging app in near future.
