It was last week when an update from Microsoft confused many people around the world about who is going to get free update of Windows 10. Apparently, it was supposed that every one who tested a version of Windows 10 will get one for free, but now after clarifying the details a bit more, it has been learned that it is not quite as simple as thought. However, there is no doubt in the fact that genuine Windows 7 and 8.1 users will get the update for sure next month on July 29.
Now, explaining the status of Windows 10 Preview users, Mr. Gabe Aul from Microsoft said “Since we're continuing the Windows Insider Program you'll be able to continue receiving build and those builds will continue to be activated under the terms of the Windows Insider Program.” Although Microsoft also said, “Microsoft is making it clear that clean installing the Windows 10 preview and upgrading just to get the final bits and opting-out of future updates is not a path to attain a license for Windows XP or Windows Vista Systems.”
Nonetheless, the option of installing Windows 10 Preview right and now and opting for the future releases is still available for those who wish to get a free copy of Windows 10. Well, seems like Microsoft has big plans for its latest Windows 10 and it is making everything necessary to make sure that it becomes a major hit unlike Windows 8.1.
