Indian Railways, Yesterday, announced, an SMS-based coach cleaning system, for Northeast Frontier Railway in 35 pairs of trains in the region, to provide better cleanliness facilities to passengers. The facility can be availed by just sending an SMS containing PNR number, to the railway control room. The passenger would have to SMS CLEAN 10-digit PNR number to 58888 or enter the PNR no at www.cleanmycoach.com.

"This will help passengers of the nominated trains to get the coach attended by on-board housekeeping staff (OBHS) immediately. The SMS facility will be available between 6 am to 10 pm," Chief PRO of NF Railway P J Sharma said. He further explained that the sent SMS will be automatically generated to the OBHS supervisor and to the control office and a cleaning staff will be deputed immediately after attending the request. The control office will monitor the request and if an SMS is not attended reminder will be sent to the OBHS supervisor. A feedback code will also be generated, which will essentially need to be collected by the cleaning staff from the passenger after cleaning the coach. This code would be further handed to the OBHS supervisor, who will then send the feedback code collected from the passenger to 9200003232 followed by a keyword.
The request window at cleanmycoach.com will be closed only after the request has been entertained satisfactorily and been validated by the passenger.
