Now, Samsung Gear S Smartwatch is Available to Pre-Order in India

The long-rumored smartwatch: Samsung Gear S has finally made its way to the Indian marketplace. Notably, the firm has announced about the pre-booking of this Tizen-based wrist-worn for the native tech space. The prospective buyers of the device can pre-order the watch by paying up Rs 1000 via the company's online store. And, rest of the amount can be paid after its availability in the market.

As we know, the South Korean giant had proclaimed the device before IFA 2014 event, where its all specs and feature had been revealed. To redefine the idea of smart wearable, the timepiece has been arrayed with remarkable attributes. The device comprises company's own Tizen operating system along with a health-centric feature such as S Health app and Nike+Running to help users in tracking their health statistics without a smartphone.

The inclusion of IP67 certified for water and dust resistance along with 3Gconnectivity and voice calling options can make it eye candy among the Indian consumers. The watch is decked 2-inch curved Super AMOLED display, which confers a pixel resolution of 360x480.

The S Voice functionality is also commendable, which has been added for voice commands. It is also decked with onscreen QWERTY keyboard to support messaging needs. Apparently, last month Gear S smartwatch had been priced at Rs. 28,900 for the domestic space and now it is expected to be procurable from the November-end.

As the matter of fact, Gear S is more pricey than some prevailing wearables like Motorola Moto 360 and LG G Watch. But, its price-to-performance ratio is good enough and acceptable because its high-cost provides additional functionality as well as high-end features.
