The Seattle based online shopping giant, Amazon is one of the biggest names in the world when it comes to getting "what you want you get it at your door steps". In recent days, Amazon gave us a whole lot of surprises such as getting into PC gaming zone, free home delivery without any minimum order requirement. You might think that this would be all, now what else can be done? Well that's where we might be wrong.

According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Amazon is secretly developing a mobile application which would allow ordinary people instead of courier companies to deliver packages of other customer en route their destination. Amazon is calling this project as "On My Way' project.

The online shopping giant took this step in order to boil down the immensely high shipping cost, which company has to bear. It is astonishing to know that just delivering packages to their destination cost the e-commerce behemoth worth $ 8.7 billion, which is 19.5 percent of the total sale of the company this year, and is 31% higher than last year's.

It is obvious that to make 'On My Way' project feasible, Amazon has to ensure safety and security from theft and frauds. The company shall also come up with a back-up plan in case the delivery could not be complete.

Overall Amazon's this project is a risky idea, but Amazon is known for its risk involved maneuvers, making the company a leader amongst all the brands throughout the globe.
