Samsung, the South Korean techno manufacturing and developing firm has now come up with another high-end technical device dubbed as ArtPC Pulse. The ArtPC Pulse is basically a cylindrical PC which looks similar to Apple’s Mac Pro and is available for preorder starting at $1,200 via Amazon.
The ArtPC Pulse comes with four USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, an Ethernet port, an audio jack, an SD card reader, an HDMI port, and a power connector at the rear side. The upper part of its 10.7-inch body has been embedded with a Harman Kardon speaker, which according to the company is designed to work as 360-degree Omni-directional orientation. Other specifications of the speakers are yet to unveil.
The ArtPC Pulse will be available in two variants, one packed with a quad-core Skylake Core i5-6400 CPU and other with Core i7- 6700 CPU. The basic model is blessed with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD5 whereas the standard model gets 16 GB RAM and a 1TB 5400RPM HDD. Both models feature a Radeon RX 460 GPU, which is capable of running 1080p games but is not suitable for 4K gaming or VR.
It weighs 7.4 pounds and 5.5-inches in diameter, which makes it a bit slimmer and lighter as compared to Apple Mac Pro. Apart from this, the system can be customized manually too by the users with “expansion modules”, such as 1 TB hard drive module, that comes with the standard model. Other details of the modules have not been revealed by the company.
The device will be running the purest version of Windows 10 and the shipping will start from Oct 28.
