Even to enter the chat room, to start a chat, you need to enable the app. But now, Microsoft has enabled the application and updated the interface that generates link to be shared to anyone. You won't need a Skype account to start chatting, just input a name and you'll immediately join a conversation using Skype for web. This opens up Skype over various devices, without having them in your contact list even. If your friends have the Skype account already, then they can join the group using Skype for iPhone and Android.
Microsoft has firstly launched the new feature in UK and US, further planning to roll out the same worldwide in the next few weeks. The ability to start a conversation and share the link using the mobile apps will soon be brought down to the devices by Microsoft, as claimed.
