Skype Qik: An App for Video Messaging for Android, iOS and Windows

A new app has introduced to make video messaging possible. The best part of this app is its multi platform support. Microsoft acquired Skype has made efforts to bring an innovative app with the help of its few members and give it the name Skype Qik. The first version of the app has been introduced on October 14 for iOS, Android and Windows Phone based devices.

This app is available on Apple App store, Google Play Store and Windows Store to download for free. This is free from Ads which makes it easy to use. This is a video chat app which is though based on Skype but doesn’t require its app on backstage. This app simply needs a smartphone to take the benefit of it.

Microsoft Skype Qik

It will not save your any contact on Cloud. Your mobile contact will require for this app for video messaging. After installing the Skype Qik app in smartphone, user can send video message to any smartphone and receive the video message as well. If the app will not be installed in smartphone, then a message, containing the link will send to the receiver to download the video message.

The Qik message can be 42 seconds long and will have the capability of self destroying the message after two weeks. Sender can also remove the sent message also whether the receiver has read the message or not. Blocking the Contacts can also be possible for Android and Windows phone users while the iPhone is not little far from this feature.

Upto 5 seconds long GIF can also be send by this app. Qik is also a Video messaging Company which was owned by Skype and then Microsoft has acquired the Skype also. So, here is the app for video messaging that is eponymously called as ‘Skype Qik’. However, you will find nothing from the Qik in this application as claimed by a Microsoft guy.
