WhatsApp, the most popular instant messaging service, has rolled out a new update for its Android Users, which is focused on redecorating the WhatsApp Settings Page. The update that will be made available with version 2.12.506, that is not officially rolled out yet. However, users can go ahead and download an apk from APKMirror, points out AndroidPolice.
Besides, Google also lets you get the new version on becoming a part of the Google Play beta programme. So, the revamped Settings page brings some changes to the sequence of the options. For example, the profile option is moved right to the top and you will also see the profile photo in a round frame. Earlier Help was on top, followed by Profile.
The list now includes the Data Usage option allowing users to control the type of files the app can download over Wi-Fi, mobile data, or even when on roaming. Chats and calls have been changed to only ‘Chats’ and now comes under Data usage. The payment option is gone away completely. Needless to say, WhatsApp is now free for all, making the option redundant.

Recently, WhatsApp introduced a big update, allowing users to share documents. Users who update to version 2.12.453 for Android and 2.12.14 on iOS will see the sharing option. For now, however, there is this one tiny issue. The receiver must also have the updated version installed in order to receive the said document on their device. The popular messaging app had also announced to include end-to-end encryption.
