Forwarding Info feature
A few days back, Whatsapp was seen testing a new Forwarding feature. By this feature, the user will get to know how many times a message has been forwarded and will also show a forwarded label if the message is forwarded more than four times. The feature has not been added yet. It seems that the beta built of Whatsapp for Android users has launched one of the feature among both through the open beta channel for all the testers. The WhatsApp beta update (version 2.19.87), can now see how many times a message has been forwarded.
This feature can be checked by long-pressing the forwarded message or by tapping the “i” icon at the top. This information will only be seen by the sender of the message.
Dark Mode Feature
The dark mode feature has also been spotted in WhatsApp beta v2.19.87 for Android. The dark mode will give a black colour to the ‘Profile Section’ and after the feature is enabled then it will be seen on the Status bar.
It seems that the “Two Factory Authentication” and “Request Account Info” are the subsections that will not receive the dark colour theme after enabling it but there is a possibility that it might change when the beta build will be upgraded. Also, note that there are only traces about the dark mode theme and has not yet been announced officially.
