Benefits of Grapes according to Color and Varieties

Summer season has started and everyone is taking the taste of delicious seasonable fruits. Grapes is one such fruits which is easily available all around the world. Almost 8000 varieties are there for grapes. Different states have different names, some says Draksha, Bedana in Bengali and angur in Hindi.

Grapes are not only delicious but are rich in nutrients like Vitamin A, C, B6 and folate along with minerals like potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and selenium which cures various diseases and problems including constipation, kidney problem, fatigue, eye disorder, heart disorder, breast cancer etc. Presence of flavonoids (Poly Phenolic Phytochemical) antioxidants prevents from aging, viral infection and damage caused by free radicals.

Intake of grapes increases nitric acid. 80% is only water and rest is glucose. Its importance and benefits vary according to color.

Black Grapes - Used to make raisin which reduces deficiency of blood.

Red Grapes - It has anti bacterial property which protects from infection and decreases cholesterol level. It helps in controlling blood pressure.

Green Grapes - Good for eyes, prevent from cataract.
