Coolpad is a Chinese telecommunications and smartphone maker firm that is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. It is the largest smartphone company in China and is also the largest Chinese domestic brand that sales outside of China.
Coolpad was originally a subsidiary of China Wireless Technologies Limited which was later renamed as "Coolpad Group Limited" in the year 2013. In 2012, Coolpad entered the US mobile phone market with its first 4G LTE smartphone, in collaboration with MetroPCS. In 2015, Coolpad was awarded "Global Smart Phone Brands Top 10" and "Global Smart Connected Devices Top 10" by IDG and was also listed on the Forbes Asia TOP 50.
