Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 by Henry Ford. The Headquarter of Ford Automaker is located in Dearborn, Michigan, US. It sales the luxury cars under the brand named Lincoln and in past years it has also manufactured tractors and trucks etc. The company makes its products in a large scale and the broad range of luxury automobile provides under Lincoln marque in the US.
Its Marcury brand was launched in 1939 and it continued till 2011. Edsal brand was introduced in 1958 and discontinued in 1960 due to poor sale.
Ford has acquired Aston Martin, the British sports car maker in 1989. The company is in the truck manufacturing business since 1908 and they are made in Australia, Brazil, Germany, India and UK etc. Ford F-series was used for light trucks in the market of North America. In the early history Ford has used E-series for small school buses and it is also involved in Formula One racing to supply engines those were designed by Cosworth from 1998-2004.
Ford's flexible fuel vehicles were based on ethanol and gasoline. In 2004, Ford and Toyota started a joint venture of hybrid technology patent. In 2007, it started the partnership with Southern California Edison for plug-in hybrids.
