Haier Group is an electronics and home appliances maker company of China. The headquarter of Haier is located in Shandong, China. It manufactures computers, microwave ovens, washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators and mobile phones etc. It is the leading brand of the company that was earlier known as Quigdao Haier Group and in 1992 it acquired the current name.
In 1996 and 1997, the production of Haier appliances started in Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia. It also moved into the US market and firstly focused on niche markets. In India it was listed in top 20 brands by The Brand Trust report.
