Lee denim jeans brand founded in 1889 by Henry David Lee and headquartered in Salina, Kansas. The company was started as Lee Mercantile Company. In 1913 it introduced jumpsuits and 1920s it launched zipper fly and overall. In 1954, the company expanded the business by launching casual wear outfits and in 1960s it opened the stores in 81 countries and it acquired by VF Corporation. Till 2005, Lee manufactures in small factories in Chamarajnagar, India by Arvind Mills where approx 60,000 workers produces more that 5000 jeans per day.
