It was a luxury car manufacturer company and founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach. This car brand is now acquired by Daimler AG which is located in Friedrichshafen.
The company will discontinue in 2013 because of low sales and with the year 2002, it has sold only 3000 cars. Maybach also replaced by luxury models of Mercedes and those will manufacture by Daimler.
