Nissan Motor Company is an automobile maker based in Japan. The company is a unit of Nissan Group and it was founded in 1933 by Masujiro Hashimoto, Kenjiro Den, Meitaro Takeuchi, Rokuro Aoyama and Yoshisuke Aikawa. It also has a luxury car unit named Infiniti. In 2010, it listed in top 6 car companies after Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Volkswagen and General Motors. The first car of the company was DAT.
Earlier in 1928, the company was known as Nippon Sangyo and later on from 1930s it was originated as Nissan. The hybrid technique was announced in 2010 and in the same year Daimler AG took up 3.9% share of the holding from Nissan and Renault. It marketed the vehicles under the name "Datsun" and in 1999 the two way alliance was started with Renault. It is also rated in 10 best engines as Nissan VQ engines.
