TEZPUR, 05 DECEMBER 5: Nokia, the brand known for manufacturing best of mobile phone in the previous decades is failing to provide proper service to their customer. Nokia was one of the best selling device in the recent decade. The N-series and 6600 were a great success with over millions of satisfied users around the globe. Nokia is still a great brand but with lack of proper service centres in India. How many of you have visited Nokia Care centre Tezpur in last few years? How many of you were satisfied with the attitude of the employees? How many of you had your(in warranty) device repaired in the first visit and had your problem resolved? I have a nokia 305 device. The first time when i visited nokia care tezpur this year, my issue was that of a headphone not working properly. The front desk executive responds to me in a rude manner and i got angry and saying nothing i came back home without submitting my device. The second time i went there for resolving an issue related to my phone’s memory. I handed my device to them. “ The maximum help that i can provide here is updating your software and if the issue is not resolve than we will send the device to the head office” this was what i was told. The next day i took my device back. Again after a week or so i had to submit my device to them for the same issue. They said “ It will take almost 20- 25 days for your device to be repaired”. I agreed. On the 20 th day i went there but they said my device has not yet been repaired. They asked me to come back after a week. i was handed my device after a week or so. Well my issue was not resolved in my second meet too. I said to myself “ let it be my device phone memory is only disturbing. Leave it! To fix this issue i can’t submit my device again and again and be phoneless for months.” Again after a month or so, my display went dim. I had no other option but to go to that nokia care again. I submitted my device there. They said they will have to open my phone and see if it is exposed to water or has been physically damaged. I asked to do whatever is necessary to get it fixed. I meet a lady there who was complaining that she was facing the same issue repeatedly even after submitting her device several times. She was not the only person i encountered who was not satisfied with their service and shouting at them. The person checked my device and said it was not physically damaged. They asked me to sign the jobsheet. This time before signing, i went through the terms and condition ad found that it says the device shall be repaired within a period of 14 days. I questioned them why they are asking for 20- 25 days. They said its because to transportation problems. I said okay and i asked them by which date my device will be at Noida they said that exactly after 6 days my device will reach there. on the 9th day i contacted the head office over at Noida and they said my device was not in the head office. The next day i went there and asked why my device did not go to noida. They had no better excuse. They said their building had a short circuit and they were unable to contact the company. Work is work after all i gave you 20 days time you should understand the value of our trust. There are many cyber cafes in and around there building so i thing they can easily send a mail to the company. Or i feel they send things in a more advanced method. That is click a button and your parcel has reached its destination in a fraction of seconds. I took my device back and i reinserted my battery to see if my other components are working or they have stolen my parts. I just got a big blow after switching on my device. The display was working though they did not repair it nor did it go to noida. I asked them if they really are engineers or just mechanics that they don’t even know when a not working stuff got repaired. I remember the story of the cobbler and the dwarfs. When the people in the nokia care were sleeping(,................. never mind they always sleep during their working hours) the dwarfs came and did all their works. Again recently i went there because i had another problem with that piece of plastic. The 3.5 mm jack was not working. i submitted my device and i got my device on the 20th day as usual. But i was unable to check my phone as all songs in my phone was erased. I asked them what they changed. They said the company replaced the faulty part. I took my device back and same night when i was in my bed and was about to listen to Taylor swift’s songs i found that nothing changed at all. The deceived me for the fifth time. This time i was breathing out fire. I took out a lot of info about them from an ex worker there who is now owner of a private shop. He told me many things about them. He told me how they loot people, how they make extra money, how they cheat the company and so on. He told me several facts that made me even more angry. He told me that there are many people who just give their phones which are out of warranty thinking that they put genuine and better parts than ordinary shops. But the truth is they take the device, go to small shops just below their office get the device fixed at a low rate and ask the customers to pay more money i.e they repair a phone for INR 120 and take INR 500. And the ignorant customers thinking that they are putting good parts pay them whatever they ask. The second thing he told me was that beside salary, for every phone they get a commission of some INR 30 or so even if they attempt or don’t attempt any repairs. Just by submitting they paper works they earn easy money. The more jobsheets they fill the more money they get. Then i realized that they keep the warranty phone for long period knowing that the customer has no other option but to come to them again. They more they come back for the same issue the more money they earn. This is life! These people should get role for sequel of ‘Badmash Company’. I bet it will be a super hit. This time i went there, i threw my device then and there saying that they are cheat and fraud and i stared a huge quarrel. This time its not for of my phone. Its for all people like me who are exploited and looted by some thugs working for a foreign company. I called the head office again and i came to know that my phone never ever went to noida for repair. The nokia care,Tezpur always lied that our device was repaired in the head office. In fact most of our phones are returned to us without attempting repairs. I conclude saying this that i saw many people like me running up and down the street just to get their in warranty phone fixed. I just want you to fight against them . i know around 80% of the customers who visited nokia care,Tezpur in recent year was not satisfied with their service and most of them got no solutions.PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO EXPERINCED THE SAME IN THE NOKIA CARE TEZPUER PLEASE EMAIL ME OR CALL ME AND HELP ME FILE A CASE AGAINST THIS EXPLOITATION.
